Marie Winters

Marie Winters is a graduate of Bastyr University and has been working in Philadelphia ever since. She specializes in treating people with a cancer diagnosis and has experience working with both solid tumors and blood cancers. She was the first naturopathic doctor to establish a free-standing practice in Philadelphia and has experience working in both private practice and hospital-based settings. Given this experience, she is familiar with hospital practices and protocols, and can safely and effectively support patients before and after hospital admissions and specific medical procedures.

In addition to serving patients in her private practice, Dr. Winters is committed to the growth and development of the field of naturopathic medicine. She currently serves as Adjunct Faculty at the University of Western States and is a past faculty member at Bridgeport University College of Naturopathic Medicine. She also served as the President of the Pennsylvania Association of Naturopathic Physicians and was instrumental in the successful legislative effort to regulate naturopathic medicine in Pennsylvania.

Dr. Winters has presented naturopathic and integrative oncology research at national conferences including the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians annual conference, the Society for Integrative Oncology’s annual conference, and the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians’ annual conference.

Marie lives in South Philadelphia where she has resided for over fifteen years, along with her husband, the co-founder of the Philly Free School, and daughter, who dances with Philadelphia Ballet's second company, PB2.
