I have been a massage therapist since 2002 & an occupational therapist since 2015 and am the owner & lead therapist at Empowered Foundations Pelvic Floor Therapy & Bodywork. I provide massage & pelvic floor therapies that take your whole person into account & focus on your individual needs and goals. For my massages, I integrate a variety of modalities, including Swedish, deep-tissue, trigger point release, & lymphatic massage. I have specialized training in myofascial release, prenatal, postpartum, & labor support massage, & Thai massage. I have completed four John F. Barnes' Myofascial Release courses: MFR 1, Unwinding, Fascial-Pelvis, & Women's Health Seminar. For pelvic floor therapy, I incorporate education, hands-on bodywork, & movement. I believe in practicing a holistic, client-centered approach to therapy & that receiving therapeutic touch & bodywork is one of the most important of aspects of healing. I have never given the same treatment twice; it is entirely individualized.
