Joe received his master's degree in physical therapy in 2000 from Long Island University in Brooklyn, NY. He began his career working on the upper west side of Manhattan in private practice, where he treated a wide variety of patients including dancers and musicians from The Julliard School. Since then, he has worked at several other facilities with emphasis on hands on, one on one physical therapy. Joe established ProTEK Physical Therapy in 2006 with the goal of providing individual, hands on care. He currently provides one on one physical therapy treatment in a private, clean, and up to date facility.



Joe uses his manual skills and physical therapy knowledge in conjunction with therapeutic exercises such as yoga and pilates to restore function. Joe has continued to refine his manual skills with continuing education courses that emphasize manual treatment. Joe is currently focusing on the Myofascial Release technique with the goal of becoming a myofasical release expert trained under John Barnes, PT. Joe incorporates myofascial release with traditional physical therapy to focus on the individualistic needs of each patient.



He has taken extensive coursework in spine, orthopedics, balance and vestibular rehabilitation, and chronic pain. He also holds certifications in manual therapy including advanced muscle energy techniques, advanced non-surgical rehabilitation, yoga rehabilitation, and geriatric orthopedics.
