Tieraona Low Dog, MD, ABOIM, is a an internationally recognized educator and clinician with deep expertise in integrative medicine, herbal medicine, women’s health, and dietary supplements. Her contributions include 54 peer-reviewed publications, 25 chapters in medical textbooks, four National Geographic books, and co-editor of Oxford University’s Integrative Women’s Health. Dr. Low Dog has spoken at 600+ medical and scientific conferences and held prominent positions, including a White House appointment by President Clinton, seven years as an advisor to the National Institutes of Health, and 25 years chairing Dietary Supplement and Botanical Expert Panels at the United States Pharmacopeia. She is the recipient of four-lifetime achievement awards and two awards for excellence in science and public health. She is a Clinical Professor of Health Sciences in the Department of Medicine at the University of California-Irvine and is the Director of the Integrative and Functional Medicine Fellowship at UCI’s Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute, where she continues to lead the advancement of integrative medicine and whole person care. Tieraona lives in the mountains of Nothern New Mexico, where she runs an herbal school and holds herbal classes in teh summer at her beautiful Medicine Lodge Ranch. MD, ABOIM, RH, RH (AHG)
