Claire Hamnett PT, DPT, WCS, PRPC, CLT

Claire Hamnett received her undergraduate degrees in Kinesiology and Spanish from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Columbia University. She is currently studying for her PhD in Women’s Health Physical Therapy at Texas Woman’s University in their remote program for practicing physical therapists. In addition to earning her PRPC through Herman and Wallace, she is a board certified Women’s Health clinical specialist and a certified lymphedema therapist.

Claire found her passion for pelvic health physical therapy while working at a pelvic health clinic during college. She was able to see first-hand how life-changing pelvic floor physical therapy can be. After graduating from Columbia, she completed a clinical residency year in pelvic health at Baylor, Scott, and White in Dallas, TX. In the April/June 2021 issue of The Journal of Women’s Health Physical Therapy (JWHPT), Claire published an article titled: Can an Outpatient Exercise Program for Pregnancy-Related Pelvic Girdle Pain Improve Pain and Function Versus Education? A Feasibility Study.

Claire believes that listening to patients’ complete stories is the first step in the healing process. She is committed to fostering an inclusive and comfortable environment for each patient. Claire helps patients return to important aspects of their lives.
