Mukta is a seasoned physical therapist with over 12 years of experience in Manual Physical Therapy and is double board-certified in orthopedics (OCS) and women’s health (WCS). Mukta realized that to offer her patients a more holistic treatment, she would need to broaden her focus. She has spent the last few years building deep expertise in Pelvic Health, receiving training in pelvic health physical therapy from Herman and Wallace, Pelvic Guru academy, and Barral Institute. Mukta is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association(APTA) and the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH).
She received her Bachelor in Physical Therapy in Delhi, India, and moved to the US to further her education and received advanced training in Functional Manual Therapy at the Institute of Physical Art (IPA). This completely transformed the way she approached her patients. Mukta understands the delicate interplay between neurophysiology, biomechanics, neurofascial systems, and their combined contribution to the overall well-being of a patient. It is precisely this awareness about the nature of these interactions that gives her a nuanced understanding of her patients.
Mukta lives the philosophy of ongoing improvement, and because she continuously augments her knowledge with training and continued education courses, she is always improving on the quality of care she offers to her patients. In the last seven years, she has taken numerous courses from industry stalwarts in Orthopedics, Pelvic Health, and Pain Science. All of these trainings have come together and enabled her to become a well-rounded physical therapist.
In her free time, Mukta is found either biking, running, or hiking. Just being outdoors helps her understand her own body even more deeply. Physical Therapist
