Hi - I'm Elise!

As a mom of two (now pre-teen / teen years) I know personally and professionally how it feels to not have a healthy, functional body years into postpartum. By nature I am a mover. Through passion to help others feel good in their bodies I am a movement educator. I have helped thousands of women develop a healthier relationship with their changing body through the practice of yoga with a functional anatomy influence... and I would be honored to help you, too!

In 2004 I received a B.S. in Pre-Dance/Movement Therapy from Eastern Michigan University, and have been able to weave the mental body with the physical body into offerings of yoga. (The quote above is from multiple students through the years.) In 2018 I became one of the few of us worldwide certified as a MUTU Pro.

My pursuit in life is to lift the veil of those, especially women, who may feel overwhelmed or uncomfortable in their bodies through education, experiential movement, and exploring the thoughts in the mind. Additionally, I mentor yoga teachers who desire to support perinatal wom(b)en in their classes and/or become a perinatal yoga teacher themselves.
