Glenna graduated from Western Carolina University in 2000 with a Master of Physical Therapy degree. With the distinction of Magna Cum Laude she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from University of North Carolina in Asheville in 1998.
As an out-patient physical therapist she treats orthopedic issues of the upper extremities, the lower extremities, the pelvis and the spine. Since 2004 she has expanded her knowledge and skills on treatment for disorders of the pelvis.
Physical therapy skills include evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, and provision of interventions for neuro-musculoskeletal impairments. Glenna is proficient in numerous manual therapy techniques and application of therapeutic modalities. She enjoys instructing therapeutic exercises for core muscle stabilization and for general strengthening as well as education of postural awareness and functional movement.
Glenna welcomes opportunities to educate the public and professionals on conservative treatment options for pelvic disorders at venues such as radio programs, community health fairs, office meetings with physicians, education institutions, classrooms for civic groups or gatherings of support group members. As a cancer survivor, she is especially passionate about speaking to cancer survivors about improving pelvic functions with their new normal.
