Kendall Lynch

Kendall received her Bachelor of Health Sciences and Biology from Duquesne University and continued with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Duquesne. After graduation from physical therapy school, she moved to Tampa, Florida and became a clinical faculty member at the University of South Florida. While a faculty member at USF she presented at national conferences, educated future physical therapists, and contributed to scholarly articles. While at USF, Kendall earned her Orthopedics Certified Specialty (OCS) from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialities.

While in Tampa, she further pursued a certification in Pilates through Polestar Pilates International based in Miami. This certification enhanced her knowledge of core synergy and breathing mechanisms, and their effect on every part of the body. During this time, she became increasingly interested in pelvic floor rehabilitation and how integral the pelvis is to overall function and pain. To further her knowledge and training in pelvic health she completed numerous courses with The Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. She also has completed continuing education in manual trigger point release, pain science, Active Release Technique, and Functional Movement Assessment.

Kendall was first drawn to the field when she experienced an injury at the age of 16 while doing track and field. Her positive experience in physical therapy sealed her decision to become a physical therapist. As her career and knowledge has grown, she has gained a better understanding of the strong connection between emotional, mental, and physical health and it’s symptom presentation. She has seen how powerful physical therapy can be for her clients and their identity, and is excited to bring that to Beyond Basics Physical Therapy.

Kendall was born and raised outside of Chicago (but turned a Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates fan in college). She can be found running, spending time outdoors with her husband and daughter, and traveling. She loves to explore new areas and find small bakeries and coffee shops.
