Rachel Polito

Rachel received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and Exercise Science from the University of Delaware in 2008 and earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Duke University in 2011. Rachel has practiced outpatient physical therapy since earning her degree in both the hospital and private practice setting. In 2014, she earned the designation as a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist (OCS). Rachel is also certified in the Astym system for soft tissue injuries and chronic tendinopathies.

Rachel has always had an interest in treating orthopedic conditions, but became interested in pursuing advanced education in pelvic floor physical therapy after having her first daughter. Rachel has completed coursework through the APTA’s Section on Women’s Health and Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute for additional training in pelvic floor physical therapy including the treatment of incontinence (including leaking and/or frequent urge to use the bathroom) for men, women, and children; pregnancy and postpartum conditions and recovery; pelvic pain conditions; pelvic organ prolapse; constipation and bowel dysfunction; osteoporosis; as well as side effects from cancer treatment. Rachel is passionate about helping patients with pelvic floor conditions improve their quality of life.
