Zarina Vitebsky

Zarina, a mother of four and co-owner of ProTouch Physical Therapy, received her Master’s in Physical Therapy from Old Dominion University. Her clinical studies included training at St. Augustine University as an Orthopedic Spine Specialist. Outside of her clinical studies, Zarina completed Visceral Mobilization (VM) training and CranioSacral Therapy (CST) training from The Barral Institute, along with extensive training in Arvigo Abdominal Massage Therapy. A strong advocate of both female and male pelvic floor dysfunction, she is also one of only two physical therapists in the US who have been trained by Dr. David Wise, author of Headache in the Pelvis, to carry out his specific pelvic floor pain protocol.

Zarina is constantly expanding her view and techniques on how to further treat patients with success. She is currently pursuing a certification in Pelvic Rehabilitation (PRPC) through Herman and Wallace Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation Institute, a Mastery Certification in Manual Therapy (MCMT), and a certification in Jessica Drummond’s Functional Nutrition for Rehabilitation Professionals for Pelvic Pain (FNRP) at the Integrative Women’s Health Institute. With a passion in Pelvic Floor Therapy and a desire to perpetually broaden her skills, Zarina has developed extensive and invaluable knowledge in pelvic floor anatomy, physiology, and pelvic floor dysfunctions. Her skills have been so well recognized and requested that she is now offering an Out of Town Patient Program that includes an initial telemedicine session.

Within the local mom communities, Zarina has also developed a very strong reputation for treating DRA and pelvic floor dysfunction associated with prenatal & postpartum conditions. Zarina uses a "whole trunk" method in treating diastasis recti (DRA) which has lead to a high success rate within her patients.

When not treating patients and taking new courses, Zarina is an active contributor to Dr. Robert J. Echenberg’s Facebook group, The Echenberg Institute for Pelvic & Sexual Pain. She continues mentorships with Dr. Robert J. Echenberg and Dr. Kenneth Peters, learning from these two geniuses of the pelvic floor world to further her knowledge in PF dysfunction. Zarina is also working on her first book in the field and hopes this project will address pelvic floor dysfunction through the eyes of a Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist. Physical Therapist
